Welcome to Reinertson Custom Taxidermy. My name is Brian Reinertson, I am located in Coralville Iowa and have been an avid outdoorsman for most of my life. Through my years of hunting and fishing I have gained a true appreciation for wildlife and how each animal is so unique.
I was trained by world champion taxidermist Joe Meder. Joe has been a world, national, and state judge over the years and taught me how to read and interpret anatomy of the animals I am mounting. I have been a member of the Iowa Taxidermy Association since 2010 and have won numerous awards in the professional division, including Best of Category in deerheads. I have been featured in both the summer and fall 2012 issues of Breakthrough Magazine. I go to at least one workshop or seminar each year to continue learning this art and, in May, I will be competing at the World Taxidermy Competition in Springfield, Illinois.
No expense is spared in the mounting process of your trophy. I use only the highest quality materials including competition eyes and earliners. All professional tanning is done locally at Spartan Tannery. Doug at Spartan Tannery has over 22 years of experience producing the highest quality hides that will have the longevity we are all looking for in a mount.
I know the time, effort, and excitement that goes into harvesting your trophy so I treat each one like it is my own. Taxidermy is a true passion of mine and I believe it shows through in my work. It is my goal to produce a piece you will be proud to display and that will look just as good year after year.
